about

I wrote the lyrics to this song while on a plane from Miami to New York at a time when I was really delving into my cultural roots and listening almost exclusively to rustic changui songs from Oriente province in Cuba. One day in a rehearsal with Pablo Moya I showed him the song and he loved it and went on to write this nice arrangement for 2 trumpets! Baila y Goza con Mi Changui is what the chorus states and that means, dance and sing with my changui! Vaya!
